We targeted the development of mines to replace oil and gas

In an exclusive interview about the role of mining in the economy of Iran and the region, Mojtaba Yousefi, a member of the presidium of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, said: "We are a rich country in the field of mining, but in this field we need to produce and build new technologies and standard mines."

He added: "In the field of mining, we must prevent the sale of raw materials more than ever before, and in this regard, we must have the necessary transparency in the transfer of mines."

Developing mines to replace oil and gas

Yousefi said about the government and parliament's plan to use mines to replace oil and gas: "Good capacities have been foreseen in the laws of the Seventh Development Plan, and also thanks to the laws that have been considered in the Industries Commission of the Eleventh Parliament, we can, with the government's support, target "developing mines" to replace oil, gas, and carbon materials."

Exhibition, an opportunity to showcase capacities

In response to a question about the impact of the Conmine exhibition on the progress and development of the country's economy, the member of the parliament's presidium said: Many domestic investors in the country are unaware of Iran's real capacity. Currently, we need specialized and quality exhibitions to be held. Activists and organizers can enter the field by referring to the mines of Khuzestan, Kerman, and Khorasan and hold good and planned exhibitions with the help of experts and experts in this field and the private sector.

Regarding the presence of parliamentarians and prominent government officials in the Conmine exhibition and its impact in this field, he noted: These factors will have a direct impact on better and greater recognition of investors and economic activists in this field.

Regarding the impact of government appointments on the performance of managers, he stated: Currently, the quality of work and productivity of governments has decreased, and the main reason for this is the political appointment of managers and government officials.
