Conmine Exhibition is the hub for mining professionals
Amir Tavakoli Rudy said about the role of the Conmine exhibition in increasing communication between mining activists: "Exhibitions such as Conmine are definitely considered a hub for communication between businessmen, industrialists, and mining experts in our country and other countries."
Amir Tavakoli Rudy, a member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly and a member of the Industries and Mines Commission, said in an exclusive interview with the short title about the challenges of the mining sector: According to the orders of the Supreme Leader, mining should replace oil. Since the position of mining in the country's economy is huge and extensive with high added value and job creation, it was decided that the parliament would pay special attention to this sector. We also targeted a 13 percent growth in mining in the Seventh Development Plan.
He added: When we talk about the mining sector and the supply chain, as extractive industries, mining and steel industries complement each other in a chain, all of these directly and indirectly contribute to the employment sector and create a large volume of added value and contribute to the country's production and economy, as well as access to global markets.
Exhibition, a good opportunity for exchanging ideas
The representative of the people of Khaf said about the role of the Conmine exhibition in the development and progress of the mining sector: Exhibitions are actually terminals and centers for exchanging different thoughts, ideas, and experiences around the world, so that no matter how much these capacities overlap, we can fill the gap in our innovations and technologies.
Regarding the solution to the practicality of exhibitions and the effective presence of foreign companies in the exhibition, Tavakoli Rudy said: Regarding the importance of holding exhibitions, the law has left the government's hand free. This certainly depends on the approach of our country's foreign policy. In recent years, a department has been formed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the Deputy Minister of Economy. In our opinion, this department should be more active in identifying special economic capacities in the country.
He continued: During foreign trips of government officials, accompanying economic teams play an important role in negotiations and one-on-one meetings between industrialists and economic activists, and they can identify special capacities for economic cooperation between the parties by further recognizing them.
Amir Tavakoli Rudy said about the opportunities and threats in the mining sector: "We currently have both opportunities and threats in the mining sector. Today, as a country with mining and steel capacities, we have found new competitors in Turkey, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. If we do not look at these complexes as a window of opportunity, they will be considered a threat to us in the future."
