Enhancing the Marketing of the Paint Industry Through Specialized Paint Exhibitions
The elected representative of Joghatai, Jovin, and Sabzevar said: "Exhibitions are an ideal platform for gathering companies active in this field. These events allow companies to showcase their achievements, become aware of each other's activities, and enhance their marketing through the connections and relationships formed."
The paint industry, as one of the leading and strategic sectors in the country's economy, plays a key role in the development of the value chain across various industries. By leveraging technical capabilities, high production capacity, and a skilled workforce, the industry has been effective in meeting domestic needs and expanding exports. However, challenges such as fluctuations in raw material prices, dependency on imports of certain base materials, economic sanctions, and a lack of financial support and facilities have hindered its optimal growth. In this context, a parliamentary reporter from the Titr Kootah news agency spoke with Behrouz Mohbi Najmabadi, a member of the Parliament and the Budget and Planning Commission, to examine the status of the paint industry in the country and the challenges in this sector. Mohbi Najmabadi, while acknowledging the high potential of this industry, emphasized the need for stronger support in terms of raw material supply and financial facilities.
In this interview, Behrouz Mohbi Najmabadi discussed the capabilities of the country in the paint industry, stating: "The paint industry is one of the sectors in which Iran holds a favorable position. Some knowledge-based companies have made valuable achievements in the formulation and production of diverse paints for automobiles and other applications. We have very good production in this field, but unfortunately, there are serious challenges in securing raw materials. Moreover, a significant portion of the raw materials for this industry is imported, and supporting the importation of these materials can help sustain the development of this sector."
The Necessity of Providing Financial Facilities to the Paint Industry
The Member of Parliament highlighted the importance of financial facilities for stakeholders in the paint industry, saying: "Unfortunately, very little funding is allocated to this sector, especially in smaller cities where businesses have been active in this industry for years. Appropriate financial facilities need to be provided to these industries to help them leverage the capabilities of knowledge-based companies and enhance the quality and competitiveness of their products on a global scale."
Mohbi Najmabadi emphasized the country's favorable natural conditions, stating: "Iran has significant potential in terms of access to natural pigments. Combining this potential with the production of synthetic paints can strengthen the country's competitive position in global markets."
Exhibitions: An Opportunity for the Growth and Development of the Paint Industry
A member of the Budget and Planning Commission also referred to the role of exhibitions in introducing and developing the paint industry, mentioning events such as the INTERNATIONAL PAINT, RESIN, COATINGS, COMPOSITES AND PLATING INDUSTRIES FAIR. He said: "Exhibitions are ideal venues for gathering companies active in this field. These events allow companies to showcase their achievements, become aware of each other's activities, and improve their marketing efforts through the connections and relationships that are formed."
